Jr. rodeo in the 4th grade and was a member of Alabama Jr. Rodeo Association. Also made the state finals each year and placed in the TOP 10. Barry Burk Roping every year and placed in several rounds.

SHELL JUNIOR ROPING in Marble Falls, Texas. Placed 13 and under roping and as well as their traditional "Hat Roping".
I was a member of Alabama High School Rodeo Association during my 9-12 grade years. Qualified for national in calf roping all 4 years and once in team roping. Ninth grade year I was 3rd in the state, State Champion my 10th and 12th grade year, and reserve State Champion (only to my own twin brother) my 11th grade year. Also our 11th grade year, my brother and I was STATE CHAMPIONS in Team Roping with me being the header. I made the short go at Nationals my junior year and placed in several rounds of competition.
Attended the IPRA Youth Rodeo in Shawnee, Oklahoma three out of four of my eligible years. Placed in many rounds of calf roping as well as team roping.
Placed first in one round of team roping and at least one round of calf roping during these years and made the short go.
I was a member of USCRA for several years winning several Southeastern Regional titles and qualifying for the finals in Stephenville, Texas many times. Placed in several championship rounds and made the short go at the finals several times.
Attended an Extreme Roping in Jackson, Mississippi and as a junior in high school placed in the TOP 10. Roped side-by-side with Stran Smith to beat him and advance to the next round. I also attended this Extreme Roping as a senior in high school and also made the Top 10.
Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, Arkansas on a full rodeo scholarship. Placed third in my region and advanced to the College National Finals in Casper, WY and won 4th place overall in the calf roping.
Ozark region in calf roping and qualified for both calf roping and team roping again in Casper. Placed in a round of team roping as well as several rounds of calf roping and ended up 6th overall in the nation in calf roping.
Ozark Region as champion calf roper and qualified in team roping.
I was crowned the NATIONAL CHAMPION TIE-DOWN ROPER this past June in Casper, Wyoming.
